Rautatientori Postcard

The Rautatientori postcard is part of the Helsinki series by Kuviokioski. The 100 x 148 mm postcard is printed in Finland on environmentally friendly paper.

Text on the back of the card:

The Aleksis Kivi memorial, dedicated to the famous author Aleksis Kivi, is located in the Helsinki Railway Square . The Bronze statue by Wäinö Aaltonen was unveiled in October 1939, on the birthday of Kivi. Originally Aaltonen designed a bold cubist portrait of Kivi, but had to change his style, since a more traditional memorial was requested.
