The story of Kuviokioski
The founder of Kuviokioski, graphic designer and illustrator Tiina Achrén, designs all of our products in Helsinki. Kuviokioski products have been designed and produced since 2011.
"The dream of having my own company, where I could realize myself as an illustrator and pattern designer, began during maternity leave, when I first designed mainly children's products. After the first Helsinki themed city illustrations were created, their reception was so positive that I decided to design an entire collection of Helsinki themed illustrations. Soon the illustrations transformed in to products and at the end of 2011 I visited the first Christmas sales and opened an online store for my company."

Product Quality and Ecology
We use fairly produced and environmentally friendly materials in our products. The paper we use in printing, Scandia 2000 is FSC® certified and has been granted the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. The waste heat generated from paper production is recovered and converted into district heating. The Pure Waste bags and t-shirts we use in textiles are ethical and ecological. Pure Waste textiles are made from cutting waste from textile mills instead of new cotton.
We print almost all of our textile products by hand in Käpylä, Helsinki. Local production is important to us: our paper products are also printed in Finland without exception.
The Kuviokioski shop and studio are located in the heart of Punavuori, Helsinki (Iso Roobertinkatu 33).
